Burdette Hill

It has been a very very odd night. Maybe I will tell all about it later. Now I really need some sleep but I am not tired anymore.

Well right now Tommy and Mel are working at the cafe, VD is playing with fire at Tommy's and Mindys is there asleep. I am at home and a bit tired. I have a cold and it make me sleepy. Mindy and I make a "cake" today. Mindy was making a pie and then kinda messedup a bit so then we made something like a cheesecake too. Somehow it turned out really good (don't know how that happened). Most of the time Mindy does well with bakeing but she put the wrong kind of milk in the pie mix so we tried to fix and ended up make a cake of somesort.

So I just tried calling my older sister and found out she is in Dayton with her boyfriend and they are going to be up there for the weekend or something like that. They are going to a wedding and went up and are staying with a friend of his. So she is only one hour away and she isn't going to come see me. She asked why I didn't just drive up there to see her but she didn't tell me she was going to be there untill I tried calling her. I think her boyfriend is really cool but it seems like I got to spend more time with Bev went she lived 800 or 900 miles away but now that she is living back in our hometown (less then 200 miles from Cinci) I don't get to hang out with her much and I don't even get to talk on the phone with her that much anymore. Now they are talking about getting married. I don't know if I like this idea. Last weekend Andy came into town but most of the time she was here she was hanging out with other friends of ours. I know I had to work part of the time she was here but even when I wasn't working she would go off and do stuff with other people. I am really starting to miss my sisters. Maybe I should drive to Ashland to see Andy this weekend.

So I need a job and I need to get so many other things done. I have been trying to work on Brandies video but me and Final Cut are not getting along very well right now. I just got a call last night about 2 more videos that need done by the end of this month plus I still have a few to work on for UCC and Focus in the next few weeks. Too much going and just gettin anything done... Got to head up the street and see what needs done before FOCUS.

So I found my password for my Livejournal. But I need to go clean stuff and pay a lot of bills today, then once again I will not have any more money.

Well we made it back. It is really good to be back home. It was a good trip but I am kind glad it is over. I have a bit of a cold or something now. It seems a few of us started feel a little sick as soon as we got back this weeked, but I am felling better than I did on Sunday. Now I just sound kinda funny.

There was a lot going on this weekend. Cool stuff such as going to the lake and hiking up a volcano called Pacaya. Work in the village is going well. Some people are starting to get tired or stressed but nothing too bad. There are so many cool people around. I still really wish I knew how to talk to them.

Mindy just emailed that we got more free stuff to use in our apartment,Woot. I got a really cool chair down here for only 100Q (that is less than $15). Tommy is cool and I am really glad he is here. That goes for everyone on the trip. They are all very cool people and things seem to be going well.

So today we went up into the village. We were helping some farmers in their fields. It was the kind of work I have not done in a long time but it was good work and I had a lot of good people working around me. It was so very beautiful up there. It rained some but it was nice. I still wish I could talk to people. Well I know I will sleep well tonight.

So we made it safely to Guatemala...

We are now nearing the end of day 2 but seems more like day 5. I didn't sleep much on the way here but I did last night. Flying is kinda cool. So far we have been doing mostly touristy things (I don't like being a tourist). I really don't like the fact that I can't talk to the people here, but other than that things are cool. The place we are staying is really cool, with really nice people. We had some training this morning and we are going to the village tomorrow where we will be working most of the time. Most of our work will start later this week now we are just trying to adjust to the area.

Just wanted to get this set up before I leave on Monday.

I am working at Rohs Street Cafe tonight and it is very warm in here. Thats about all for now.
